Farewell to My Homeland
After my parents passed away, one after the other, I quietly found myself entering the age of destiny. While one's parents live, there is always a place to call home; now, I have become a child with no home to return to. Leaving is easy enough, but the burden and bitterness carried within the heart are known only to myself.
As I sorted through my parents' room, I found my elementary and high school diplomas. They had carefully preserved these simple certificates for decades—the silent witness to the eighteen years I spent under their roof.
From the airplane window, I looked down upon drifting clouds. They came without a trace and vanished without farewell, gathering and scattering beyond our grasp. Perhaps, in this fleeting life, all we ever truly possess is no more than these passing clouds.

The kindly earth now holds what I was living for;
The old home stands, but welcomes me no more.
With tears and bows, I take my final flight;
Like drifting clouds, I fade beyond your sight.
